Wood can expand and shrink with differences in temperature and humidity. Keep out of exposure to direct sunlight and extremes in hot and cold as this can lead to loss of the original colour and deformations.
Remove any spilled liquids from wooden surfaces as soon as possible.
Never use chemical cleaners, they will dull the surface and remove the protective oil layer, cleaning should be carried out with warm water and a clean lint-free cloth, then dry using a clean lint-free cloth.
To maintain the original colour, oil can be reapplied every three months. Simply use a cloth and rub oil by following the natural grain.
